Interim information
Terms of use
Updated
These interim terms describe use of xStash while fuller service terms are prepared.
Read them with the privacy notice and the plan information presented at checkout. For questions about the service or these terms, use Help & Support in the app or email support@xstash.io.
Your account and access
Provide accurate account information, keep it current and use only accounts and devices you are authorised to access. Protect passwords, verification codes, passkeys and your Secret Key. Review your signed-in devices and report suspected unauthorised access.
The Secret Key is used for vault recovery. Keep a safe copy before changing devices or erasing local data. Losing recovery material or all usable devices can prevent access to your content; support cannot promise to restore it. Keep independent copies of important files and check sync status before removing a device copy.
Your content
You retain ownership of your content and are responsible for having the rights needed to store and share it. You permit the handling needed to provide the features you choose, including storage, sync, retrieval, sharing and deletion, and to process material you submit to support. This operational permission does not transfer ownership of your content.
Storage choices, available features and quotas depend on your app and plan. Review warnings about pending uploads and the current storage location. Support messages and attachments can be read by the support team; do not include secrets or unnecessary sensitive information.
Acceptable use
Do not use xStash for unlawful activity, content you have no right to handle, abuse of other people, or attempts to compromise accounts, systems or devices. Do not bypass access controls, interfere with service operation or deliberately exhaust shared resources.
Access may be reasonably restricted or suspended to respond to abuse, unauthorised activity or a security threat. If you believe a restriction is mistaken, contact support with a description of the issue. These interim terms do not create a fixed suspension or appeal deadline.
Paid plans and purchases
Check the price, currency, billing period, renewal details, limits and cancellation information shown for your chosen plan before purchasing. Purchases made through an app store are also subject to that provider’s purchase terms and subscription controls. Manage renewal through the channel used to buy the plan.
For billing questions, purchase restoration or a refund request, contact the purchase provider or xStash support as appropriate. Eligibility depends on the purchase terms and applicable law. These interim terms do not impose a blanket no-refund rule or remove mandatory consumer rights. Deleting the app or requesting account deletion should not be relied on as a substitute for managing an app-store subscription.
Availability and notifications
Service features can change, and maintenance, connectivity, device restrictions or provider outages can affect access and sync. Notification delivery is best effort: enrollment or provider acceptance does not guarantee a visible alert, and an app receipt does not prove you read it. Check the app’s inbox and account screens for important information.
Use the app’s notification choices for optional offers and news, and operating-system settings for alerts on a device. Essential security, billing and account notices are handled separately. Do not rely on push notifications as the only way to monitor your account.
Leaving the service
Export data you want to keep before erasing devices or requesting account deletion. Use “Delete account” in your account or Profile screen and review the confirmation, scheduled date and status. Read the deletion help for the request steps.
Your rights and future updates
Nothing in these interim terms limits rights or remedies that applicable consumer law makes mandatory. They do not add a governing-law choice, arbitration requirement or liability cap. Further terms and operator details will be provided as they are confirmed, with an updated date.
