Interim information
Help & support
Updated
Practical steps for your account, data and alerts.
This is interim help. Labels and available actions can vary by app version. If an action is missing or fails, use the app’s Help & Support conversation or email support@xstash.io.
Sign in and recover access
Sign in with the email address or username for your account and your password, or use a passkey where available. Complete any verification shown by the app. Check the account identifier before retrying, and use the recovery options offered by your app if you cannot sign in.
Keep your Secret Key somewhere safe. You may need it or another signed-in device to regain vault access. Do not erase your last usable device while trying to recover access. Never send a password, Secret Key, verification code or raw push token to support.
Settings, storage and privacy
Use account or Profile screens for identity, devices, security, plan and data actions. Use Settings for device preferences and notification controls. On iPhone, Privacy & Security includes Privacy review and App permissions; on Mac, Settings includes Help & support.
Review your storage choice and sync status before changing a backup location or removing local files. “On this device” and “Sync to cloud” are different choices; read pending-upload warnings and confirm that important files are available where you expect them.
Read the privacy notice or email privacy@xstash.io for privacy questions and data requests. Include the type of request and enough account context to follow up, without secrets.
Contact support
In Help & Support, choose “Start a conversation”, add a short subject and describe what happened. Check the conversation for replies. If you cannot access the app, email support@xstash.io.
Useful details include app version, operating-system version, approximate time, the action you tried and the error message. Crop or redact screenshots before sharing. Support messages and attachments are readable by the team; avoid private file contents and other people’s information unless needed for your request. This page does not promise a response deadline.
Export or delete your account
- If you want a copy, use “Export my data” where available and check the export status. Keep your recovery material safe.
- Open your account or Profile screen and choose “Delete account”. Read the explanation and confirm using the app’s authentication step.
- Check for “Deletion scheduled” and the date shown. A failed request is not a completed deletion; contact support if the app reports an error.
- If you change your mind, use “Stop deletion” or the cancellation action while the app allows it. Cancellation may be unavailable after erasure begins.
Uninstalling the app or signing out does not request account deletion. Downloaded or shared copies need separate handling. For an inaccessible account or questions about remaining records, contact privacy@xstash.io. Manage any app-store subscription with its purchase provider as well.
If notifications are missing
- Open xStash and check the inbox and relevant account or support conversation. Confirm you are signed in to the intended account and connected to the internet.
- In the app’s notification settings, check the current-device push or Alerts switch. For offers and news, also check the category and channel choices.
- Open the operating system’s notification settings for xStash. Check notification permission, banners, sounds, previews and any Focus or scheduled-summary settings that may suppress an alert.
- On iPhone, use “Retry device registration”, then “Send server push test” and “Check delivery status” where available. “Show local test notification” checks local alerts on that phone. Mac notification settings also include delivery diagnostics and a link to system settings.
- If alerts still fail, report the test status, approximate time, app and OS versions, and whether the app was open or in the background. Do not include raw push tokens or private message contents.
“Accepted” means a service accepted an attempt; “Received” means the app reported receipt. Neither guarantees a visible banner or human attention. A successful local test does not establish remote delivery. Device and provider restrictions can delay or prevent alerts.
Purchases
Check the plan and purchase provider shown in the app. Use “Restore purchases” where offered for an existing app-store purchase, and manage renewal with the provider you used to buy it. For billing or refund questions, contact that provider or support; applicable purchase terms and consumer rights still apply.
